RESUMEN

Communities have had to make concerns when and how schools serving students in schools and campus should re-open against temporary closure to slow the spread of COVID-19 virus. Apart from continuing COVID-19 health protocols for all students, teachers and staffs, technology support needed for air circulation disinfection in crowded and inadequately ventilated space like a classroom. This study examines the impact of using UVC tools and combine with evidence-based source control practices, whether refine indoor air quality to best minimize exposure risk to COVID-19 for staff and students. This study found airborne disinfection can be solved through UVC irradiation with measured radiation 7,31 mW/cm2 since previous published research only need 5 mW/cm2 at least one second. The recommendation from this study, government need to raise public policy for education institutions to apply ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) chamber to cut-off virus airborne transmission by circulating and disinfect indoor air during in-class activities all day long. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

RESUMEN

The Social Distancing Large Scale is a term of health quarantine in Indonesia which is defined as the limitation of certain activities of the population in an area that is suspected of being infected with a disease and/or contamination with possible forms to prevent the spread of disease or contamination. The aim of which is to prevent the spread of the Corona virus 19. The objectives of this study are (1) To find out how big the impact of the Large-scale Social Restriction policy on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Makassar City, (2) To Know the Government’s Handling of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises due to the impact experienced by large-scale social distancing. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, according to Satori (Qualitative research method, alpabeth, 2011, [1]: 23) that qualitative research is carried out because the researcher wants to explore unquantifiable phenomena that are descriptive in nature such as the process of a work step, the formula for a recipe, the understanding of a variety of concepts, the characteristics of a good and service, an image, a style, a culture, physical model of an artifact and so on. Results research the implementation of large-scale social distancing in Makassar City, the trade sector, manufacturing industry, and the provision of accommodation, food and drink are at a negative growth level. Meanwhile, this sector is the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, with the implementation of large Scale Social Distancing and the policy of working from home by a number of companies in Makassar City, the transportation sector has decreased by −51.15%, the provision of accommodation and food and drinks is −30.91%, company services are −27.34%, wholesale and retail trade by −8.29%, processing industry by −8.23%, and construction by −4.94%. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
